considering purchase of 2nd hand Meade ETX 125 premium edition 4000-are they any good?
I have the 200p Explorer Synscan EQH5, you will need an equitorial mount for long exposure photos, the meade is a AZ/ALT mount, photos of the moon and planets would be ok though single exposure photos. ;) heres a link to my scope http://astronomi…

hi because it has a Az/Alt mount, long exposure photography is not possible because it doesnt rotate with the sky.

HELP PLEASE ! Lost the name of the site that gives full virtual views of the sky, stars etc .
On Stellarium there is an option for location settings, I used google maps to get my Lon/Lat position & added it into stellarium & saved as my home position.

Managing Expectations
Hi Andy, I think to see colours through a telescope it has to be really large, I started with a 150mm now I have a 200mm, I can see the colours of Jupiter etc a bit better but the nebulas are still white & cloudy, I had trouble locating Androme…

Hi Neil, I have recently purchased an illuminated reticule eyepiece for the same reason, it does help with alignment for the GOTO its not a great eyepiece but it helps, I have also brought a laser collimator, personaly I think its worth every penny…

What did you get for Christmas

The motors are a bit noisey at 1.00am when slewing , but when tracking very quiet, :D very easy to set up too about 20mins from start to photos.
