waiting for clear nights is worse than watchin paint dry..why are we having so much cloud cover is someone making extra clouds just to spoil the astronomers fun

philbodWell Blackpool is Cloudy again tonight and some heavy showers the odd break in the cloud shows the sky to be nice and crisp but the breaks unfortunatley are few and not enough time to do any stargazing..if it cleared it would be a great night i`m sure, but the forecast is bad ..October 2011

philbodSat 15th oct 2011 Well last night was clear or some time so at 9pm i was out got some grt views of jupiter and 3 of the moons and also grt views of the moon..also looked into the constellation of Cassiopea i`ve seen better views as there was a haze like film creeping across the sky but what i did see was nice very rich and full of stars will look more closely at the constellation when its really nice clear night..by 10 -30 the clouds wer reappearing so i give up for the night..cant wait for some really good clear eveningsOctober 2011

philbodWell i just purchased my new celestron 90 mm refractor telescope a week ago and the only thing i av viewed so far is a bird on a tree in a field as it so cloudy as been now for 6 days and no real signs of it clearing so anoying..as i face east i av great views of the rising planets and moon but cant see a thing with all this cloudOctober 2011
