I have a Tal100Rs and I believe it is a newer version. Bought it from Canadian dealer about 8 years ago. Fantastic views withh all eyepieces any manfacturer. It has the newer focuser. I hacve Tal eyepieces that i would be willing to possibly part with.May 2012

zenithHi Bob, i used to do Birdwatching a little while ago, this is a scope i used to use, i did have a 15-45 zoom, but never tried stargazing with it, i would have thought personally (and only my opinion) that it would be a little under powered and not very good light gathering, having only a 60mm object lens, anyway welcome aboard, im new to here as wellMarch 2011
