Thought the Horizon programme was pretty poor, and seemed to concentrate on travelling to exotic locations accompanied by an overbearing musical soundtrack - but maybe that's what viewers want/expect these days. There was an excellent 30 minute programme on the transit on radio 4 last week and also this month's Sky at Night. It's also worth looking at the 2004 Sky at Night programme which was filmed in Patrick Moore's garden when the sun shone throughout the transit which was observed and transmitted in various ways, and at different wavelengths including Hydrogen apha
