How an earth do you get the views like you see in pics and books ect, I know that the space scopes ect, but surely you can get closer than what I've seen, I've got a celestron 76eq, toomr I'm getting the 130eq.
Well you need a large scope? I use a 200p 8" and this is a single image I took the other night :http://www.flickr.com/photos/raygil/7016130773/ you also need crisp clear nights and good seeing conditions, but a large scope does help. Ray
Nice Picture Ray. I am hoping to see Saturn soon for real. How did you take picture? was your camera attached to your telescope or did you just hold it up to view finder. This is all new to me but I wish I had started years ago. Graham
Hello Graham. It was poor seeing conditions, but it was with the DSLR Canon 350D fitted prime focus - which means it goes straight into the focus tube. I hope to do some better Saturn images this month.
