I had posted a photo of the sky to another member, then wanted to delete it as it was a pretty fuzzy pic. I couldn't even delete that individual message. however it seems that (unlike the posts on the general discussion board) there are no Preview, Edit or Delete message options for pm's? I live in a close which has a fair amount of foot traffic and I'm constantly amazed by how many strangers stop for a chat, ask what I'm looking at and then ask if they can have a look through my scope.

So many people are surprised that objects other then the moon can be seen so easily. Saturn always gets a "wow" and a enthusiastic "thanks for letting me see that". Recently, one of a group of teenagers who were all a little worst for wear, asked for my scope details so he could ask for one for Christmas.

I've often thought about asking our community PCSO's for help in organizing one or two evenings a year for youngsters to come and be inspired by the night sky.
